CHAKA MEETS JAKE

Last Sunday (February 4), Jake Hill came to my house for reassessment. As some of you may know, Jake was the original guy whom I had chosen to represent USA to the Mister International 2006 pageant, but due to a freak car accident last July, Jake was unable to go and thus he was replaced by Chaka. Jake came by around 2 p.m. and I have to say that he looked good and 100% better! Even though he gained a few pounds, his enthusiasm to train is perhaps a hundred times more intense than ever before. He will resume his workout and training this month. I told him that I want to see a six-pack abs by July, and he exclaimed, "You bet!" That's exactly I wanted to hear!

I took several photos of Jake in my kitchen. Yes! I temporarily converted my kitchen into a photo studio. I had purchased a background support from an online photography store as well as two 12-foot rolls of background papers (black and white), but the rolls turned out to be too long for my kitchen floor, so I ended up using one of the several nice fabrics that I had bought years ago from a fabric store in Chinatown that has gone out of business. Jake met my new dog Bosco for the first time, and the two got along very well! The photo session took about half an hour, and while waiting for Chaka to arrive at 3 p.m., Jake and I watched a DVD of Manhunt International 2000.

Chaka arrived about a few minutes after 3, and when I saw him with his grown hair, I was quite amused since I have never seen him before with hair! In fact, he had warned me over the phone about his hair, and I advised him not to shave it because I wanted to take pictures of him with it. I also told him that a model should be versatile and be able to change his looks. With his hair, I must say that he looks at least ten years younger. I introduced him to Jake, and the two guys hit it off right away. Chaka talked a little about his Singapore experienced and gave Jake some tips on training. It was exciting to see two equally handsome men - with distinct personalities - in my kitchen! LOL!

As soon as Jake left, I took new pics of Chaka in his Speedo. Jane Liong, the director of Carrie Models, asked if I could send her digital photos of Chaka in his swimwear so she could reassess his physique. A few months ago, Jane had commented that Chaka would have to shed a few pounds because he is too stocky and big for the Asian market. Apparently, Chaka took Jane's advise to a tee, and now he is thinner, lighter and a bit softer. I also videotaped Chaka's catwalk with my new Sony digital camcorder, but it turned out to be quite challenging! I think I need at least another month or so to experiment with the videocam, and then I should be ready to shoot a perfect movie!
